For chronic neck pain management, danis bois method fasciatherapy is superior to fascial manipulation in improving cervical extension and right-side bending, indicating its greater efficacy.

A randomized clinical trial depicted that danis bois method (DBM) fasciatherapy demonstrated greater improvements in right-side bending and cervical extension compared to fascial manipulation in patients battling chronic neck pain. Researchers sought to assess the impact of two treatment techniques on functional outcomes, range of motion, and chronic neck pain.

Overall, 52 subjects encompassing both males and females (18–40 years of age), experiencing chronic neck pain lasting between 3 and 6 months, were enrolled in the study. Group A, consisting of 26 individuals, was given a combination of fasciatherapy and a conventional physical therapy protocol involving stretching, strengthening exercises, and hot packs. Meanwhile, group B, also comprising 26 participants, received the fascial manipulation treatment alongside conventional physical therapy.

Each volunteer underwent evaluations at the initial assessment and after a three-week period consisting of three sessions every week. Outcome measures included the Goniometer for assessing the range of motions, Neck Disability Index (NDI), and Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS). Data analysis was performed using SPSS 25, with the normality of the data assessed through the Shapiro-Wilk test, and parametric tests were subsequently applied.

In group A, the mean age was 24.82 ± 2.64 years, while in group B, it was 24.17 ± 2.20 years. The independent t-test revealed no notable distinctions in all parameters, instead of cervical extension and right-side bending. Simultaneously, the pairwise comparison demonstrated substantial outcomes for all measured variables in both groups. DBM fasciatherapy outperformed fascial manipulation in the management of chronic neck pain.
