Neuropathic pain can be described as burning and throbbing pain in nerves of body caused due to damage and dysfunction of peripheral and central nerves of body. According to the International Association for The Study of Pain, it can be defined as “pain directly caused by a lesion or disease affecting the somatosensory system''.
