Acupuncture and dry needling for plantar heel pain: a systematic review and meta-analysis

With the growth in leisure activities, plantar heel pain has become one of the most common symptoms of musculoskeletal disease, with effects on physical ability and quality of life. Acupuncture and dryneedling has been widely used as a conservative measure for plantar heel pain in many countries, but evidence regarding the effectiveness of these interventions has been limited. Therefore, this study was conducted to assess the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture and dry needling on plantar heel pain.
